End of October already - and the first print competition of the year!

A new judge for us this week, too - Terry Coffey from Gerrards Cross. Would he be on our list of judges to welcome back?

Well, we certainly had a large entry this week (as expected!) and once again some stunning images in both the mono and colour sections. Terry's comments were thoughtful and constructive, tinged with a good sense of humour. He commented on the very high standard of photography evident in the entries. This was reflected in the marking - a high number of 20s on the scoresheet!

In the mono section these were: 'On the Rocks'* by Eric Needs, 'Clovelly Harbour'* by Bill Scott, 'Yellow Mongoose' by John Sexton and 'Ilfracombe Rocky Coast' by Tony Bates.

In the colour section the 20s were: 'Australian Pelican'* by Ray Lewis, 'Doggie in the Window'* by Nigel Fenner, 'Milau Viaduct' by Bill Scott and 'Freesia' by Eric Needs.

Congratulations to these and indeed to all who took part!

Oh yes - the general opinion is - you're welcome back Terry!
