This evening a stalwart group of camera club members met by the village well at Aldworth on the edge of the Berkshire Downs (as they were once called) on an evening that didn't look too promising weather-wise! Shunning the lure of "The Bell" our intrepid photographers set off for the church where they adopted various strange poses to bag that elusive angle shot. Then it was hot foot along the lanes towards The Ridgeway. As the last stragglers reached the magnificent view across the valley it happened - a shaft of late evening sunshine lit up the nearby hillside! Just what we all wanted! With less remaining room on our memory cards it was back through the winding lanes to - yes - "The Bell" and a welcome pint of real ale and for some - dominoes!
