Photography in my Genes

posted by Ian Lewis in Club Meetings

Leo Rich came from Salisbury and gave a slide presentation titled 'Photography in my Genes'. In the first half he showed us some old photographs which were taken by his grandfather that he had copied onto slide film and these included photographs taken from the air whilst in combat during the Great War when his grandfather was a photographer for the Royal Flying Corps. Although taken in the early part of the last century, many of the photographs showed a lot of detail.

Leo has a very dry sense of humour that went down well with the audience and in the second half, he showed his own photographs both pictorial and amusing that he had taken in various countries. He stated that he has a great passion for India and there were plenty of stunning and atmospheric photographs from that country. It was an excellent evening that was enjoyed by all.
