North to Alaska and then South again

John Sexton, one of our club members, gave us a fascinating evening when he shared with us his images taken during a recent visit to Alaska.
John used a series of maps to guide us through the area and showed very clearly just how large an area Alaska covers. His images showed details of the Country's geography and topography and included photographs of dogs with their sleighs as well as many superb images of icebergs and frozen waters.
The highlight for me was seeing John's wonderful pictures of black and brown bears in their natural environment and taking salmon out of the streams, eating just the head and the abdomen and leaving the rest of the fish on the rocks.
A great evening with lots of information and names of all the places visited including one which could not be announced at the club.
