And what did we do last Wednesday then? It was back for a new season at our superb camera club #WHCC – that’s what!
Great to meet up and catch up with all our like-minded friends again and look forward to another year of photographic excellence!
Of course – as it’s a camera club – there were images to be seen! In the first half of the evening some of our members shared the photographs they took over the summer during our Wednesday evening forays into the surrounding countryside and villages, terrifying the locals! Then in the second half were the team images from the Great Goring Point-and-Shoot Challenge! Each team had a point and shoot camera and a set of set subjects. They chose a pic from each to enter into the competition – judged by our esteemed (think that’s the right word!) chairman. Some interesting ‘takes’ on the subjects guys – and some equally interesting comments (and discussion) during the evening!
So that was our first session – and next week we start the ‘serious’ programme – all about spending time in a hide watching brown bears then heading off for the Calgary Stampede (without bears) – will be well worth coming along to see that!
