Rosebowl Competition - Round One
posted by Ian Lewis in Club Meetings
‘Twas a great gathering of the clans in the sleepy riverside village of Whitchurch last Wednesday. They massed from the four corners of the earth – or to be more exact Hemel Hempstead, Witney, Field End (which, according to a trusted source is near Ruislip) and ourselves. And the purpose of this gathering? Only the first round of this season’s Rosebowl Competition – that’s what!
So we have it – a great selection of the top digital projected images from each club going head to head with an enormous variety of subjects from portraits and figure studies to nature and wildlife together with landscapes, photo-art, architecture, macro – well you name it and there it was!!
Of course some poor soul has to judge this and the man in the hot seat was Kevin Day – and a great job he did too! Each image was thoroughly dissected together with constructive comments.
There was extremely stiff competition here this evening and we did very well to tie for second place with such a great selection of images on offer!
Many thanks to the members of the clubs involved who came along to support and make this such a good evening – and thanks of course to Kevin for carrying out the unenviable job of judging so well!
