Annual General Meeting
posted by Ian Lewis in Club Meetings
It's that time of year again - the AGM - and for this annual event our stalwart members flocked once more to the village hall! We all came, of course, to hear our esteemed chairman give his annual state of the nation speech - ie the chairman's report!! Last year one of the main topics was the imminent closure of the bridge and what that might mean for the club. Well - a year later - and here we all are - raring to go! Our club, despite the loss of a few members and the challenges of attending with no bridge - is still in a very healthy state - of course!
The treasurer, having survived being eaten by several large felines in the name of photography, gave us figures to show that financially we are nice and healthy. Great! So now we can move forward to a new season - hopefully complete with bridge!
Lyn Higgs outlined to us plans that are firmly in place for an exhibition of the club's work to be held in Pangbourne library from 12th to 22nd of September. This is a great chance to make our mark in the local area - so start looking out your prints! We will also need a digital photo frame to show our digitally projected images.
What a superb evening! Now we can look forward to the next one in a year's time!
