Digital Audio-Visual Competition

Ha! Bet you thought - he's forgotten! Nope! It was just that seasonal happenings got in the way - hic! - that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!
So - 'Twas the week before Christmas...etc... and the valiant souls of Whitchurch Hill Camera Club gathered for the annual AV competition followed by a seasonal buffet. And brave they were 'cos it was lashing down with rain - but swathed in mackintoshes and wearing their waders they shrugged off the elements, crossed the raging torrent of the Thames - and the convivialities commenced!
What a superb range of AVs we were treated to - and I think you'll agree that the quality gets better and better each year! This time we travelled to Amsterdam and Prague - and even joined in the festivities in Venice at Carnival time (and we thought the only masks were in Photoshop!). Nearer to home we explored Herefordshire and had an 'Ahhhh moment' in a boatyard! We were entranced by our heritage of wild flowers and then went back in time to railway travel during WW2.
And who did we vote as the worthy winner? Amassing a total of 320 marks, David Dare gave us an ingenious presentation with constantly changing scenes appearing in spinning cubes!! Congratulations!! In second place with 310 marks came Ceri Jones with his beautifully produced tour of our wild flowers and third place went to Sylvia Blackmore with 281 marks who took us to exotic Venice at Carnival time.
Thanks to all who took part in the competition - no mean feat to produce superb AVs whilst preparing for Christmas - it was a thoroughly entertaining evening! And finally ... many thanks to all those who provided the food and drink for the buffet - we all went home replete (some via "The Greyhound").
A happy New Year to all - see you on 8th Jan!
