Print Competition No. 4
posted by Ian Lewis in Club Meetings
The final round of the club's print competitions saw a good entry from over 20 members resulting in over 40 images to be commented on and scored by our judge Les Spitz from the Pinner Camera Club.
At the start of the evening, the ladder table for the Colour Print Competition was finely balanced with 7 members at the top with a difference of just 3 points between them. Brian Jolley and Tony Bates were tying at the top with 109 points each and Dorothy Wood was just behind with 108 points.
The standard of entries was, once again, very high and the final scores could not have been closer.
One maximum score of 20 was awarded to Tony Bates for his photograph 'Remains of Brighton Pier'.
There were two 20's in this section and these were awarded to:
- 'Light at the end of the Tunnel' by Dorothy Wood
- 'Yellow Path to the Old Oak Tree' by Tony Bates
It looks like Tony has won both trophies in the Print Competitions although Dorothy was challenging right to the wire in the Colour section coming second by just one point.
The final results will be shown in the Ladder Tables as soon as the score details have been checked.
A big thank you to all members who entered the competitions this year - we have all enjoyed viewing some fantastic images as the season progressed.
