Digital AV Competition

'Twas the night before Christmas...well, not exactly the night before - more like the week before - and there was plenty stirring in the village of Whitchurch-on-Thames, 'cos this was the last meeting before Christmas - our annual, seasonal audio-visual competition! This is the one where club members submit AV poductions to be voted on by their fellows! The big question of course was - who had been listening carefully to our esteemed chairman's workshop on Audacity???
Well, we were treated to thirteen superb presentations (not unlucky in this case then!) on widely varying subjects, being taken as far as Cuba and Doha and as local as Henley-on -Thames! We also saw fascinating aspects of the natural world in its various moods and colours, people and historic buildings.
We all dutifully scored each presentation under the watchful eye of Santa Copeland - a hard task as they were all so good! The first three places were to be announced at the end of the evening - but first - the Christmas buffet!
At last, regaled by seasonal food and beverages we dutifully trooped back into the main hall to hear the results. So hearty congratulations to David Dare (he of the scary macro shots) for gaining third place with his production entitled "Tadpoles", to John Sexton who came second with "Wolves and Bears" (how he hasn't managed to be eaten by now is a mystery!) and finally to Ceri Jones who came first with "Colours of the Forest".
Thanks to everybody who entered - we all had a really enjoyable evening watching extremely good productions! Thanks also to those who provided food etc for the buffet - absolutely delicious!
