The World of a Wildlife Photographer
posted by Alan Copeland in Club Meetings
David Boag made the long journey from Blandford Forum in Dorset to deliver a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining evening when he re-counted his experiences as a Wildlife Photographer.
David was one of the Natural History pioneers in the early days of SLR photography and was the first person (so he told us) to capture the behaviour and lifestyle of the kingfisher. He has written 18 books on the subject of Wildlife, a number of which he was commissioned by corporate clients seeking a different approach to photography. He is a regular speaker on cruise ships and has already been retained for eight different outings next year.
The main purpose of his visit was to demonstrate his interactive photographic training programme, www.naturalfocus.co.uk, and, following his enthusiastic and motivational presentation, a good number of club members were investing in his software.
Everyone agreed that the evening was one of the most successful for many years and we hope that we can repeat this high standard of professionalism in the near future.
