Fresh from the Portsmouth expedition and here we were again, this time very locally at Goring for a photographic treasure hunt.
Once gathered outside the Post Office, Graham divided us into two teams and presented each team with a point-and-shoot camera and a list of titles. Whitchurch Hill's take-over of Goring had begun!! Both teams spread round the village itself and the lower reaches of Streatley, trying to find interesting 'takes' on such diverse subjects as 'an unusual mode of transport' and 'a cuddly toy' (no- this wasn't a re-make of the Generation Game!).
The poor unsuspecting residents of Goring were now treated to scenes of blatant gamesmanship such as the not-so-subtle guarding of potential pictures and various diversionary tactics - not to mention the systematic scrutiny of their houses and shops for signs of anything suitable to capture on camera!
As the sun set (quite spectacularly) over Streatley Hill - we made our way towards the Catherine Wheel (other pubs are available!) to quaff a well-deserved pint and decide on the final entries, which will be judged by our esteemed Chairman at the first of the new season's meetings (don't forget folks - 7th September!).
